SMS Opt-In
This page documents exactly how users opt in to SMS messages from Rumi Agent. It is intended for users, carrier reviewers, and messaging providers (Twilio). Last updated: May 1, 2026.

Where Users Opt In
SMS consent is collected via a separate, optional, unchecked-by-default checkbox that is independent from the Terms of Service agreement. Users can complete the form (and use Rumi Agent) without opting in to SMS messaging.
Demo request form — rumiagent.com (homepage modal)
The opt-in lives at the bottom of the “Request a Demo” modal that opens from the “Request Demo” CTA on rumiagent.com. The modal contains two distinct checkboxes:
- A required Terms of Service / Privacy Policy checkbox.
- A separate, optional, unchecked-by-default SMS consent checkbox.
The two are visually grouped in the same panel but are independent inputs with independent state. Submitting the form requires (1) but not (2).
Consent Language (verbatim)
The exact consent sentence shown next to the SMS checkbox is:
“I agree to receive SMS messages from Rumi including session reminders, check-ins, and account notifications. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.”
The checkbox is unchecked by default. The form can be submitted with the box unchecked. No phone number entered into the form is sent any message unless the SMS box was affirmatively checked by the user. Consent records (text + timestamp + IP) are persisted server-side for audit.
Messages You Will Receive
- Account notifications — confirmations, follow-ups, and demo scheduling messages related to the account you created.
- Session reminders — notifications about upcoming or recommended coaching sessions inside Rumi.
- Coaching check-ins — follow-up prompts related to assignments you set during a session.
- Customer-care replies — if you text our number, we reply to help you.
Rumi Agent does not send promotional, marketing, or third-party messages. Phone numbers are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing.

Demo follow-up (example)
Rumi: Thanks for requesting a demo. We'll send a calendar invite shortly. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
Session reminder (example)
Rumi: Your check-in is ready. Reply anytime to continue your last session. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.
Message Frequency
Frequency varies by account activity. During active coaching periods, up to 10 messages per week. Frequency is never higher than what a user selects in their Rumi settings.
Costs
Rumi does not charge for SMS. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.
How to Get Help
Reply HELP to any Rumi Agent message and you will receive a reply with support contact information. You can also email support@rumi.team.
How to Opt Out
You can opt out at any time and in any of three ways:
- Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, or QUIT) to any message. You will receive one final confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent.
- Email support@rumi.team with the subject “SMS Opt-Out” and your phone number.
- Contact us via the Rumi support site and ask us to remove your phone number.
Privacy
Phone numbers and messaging data are handled under our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers with third parties for marketing. Phone data is used only to deliver the messages described above.
